Move / Move the books onto it

What did we actually buy, and how do we land it?

What you buy when you buy an advice firm is its client data, and almost nobody can prove what's in it. Moving the assets is the easy part — platform-to-platform movement is close to solved. Almost all the residual friction is data, reference data and paper, and none of it surfaces until you've committed to a date and told the clients.

What we actually do

The unit of work becomes the cohort.

A cohorting engine reads the book and cuts it into groups that move the same way — one playbook, one suitability line, one client pack per cohort. Assess, remediate, migrate — so "our data isn't good enough" becomes an engagement rather than an objection.

The unit of work stops being the client and becomes the cohort. Every record reconciled expected → sent → stored.

What it covers

Assess. Remediate. Migrate.

1

Forensic assessment

Data completeness, revenue integrity, platform and CIP spread, and cost to serve — scored before you commit to a migration or a deal.

2

Gap remediation

Every gap closed against the target platform's data model before migration — not discovered mid-transfer, when it's expensive to fix.

3

Cohort-by-cohort migration

Books moved cohort by cohort onto the golden source, with automated reconciliation catching discrepancies in the pipeline, not after go-live.

4

Evidence for scrutiny

Every record reconciled expected → sent → stored, so you can show what moved and how — whoever asks.

What you get

Outputs, not activities.

Before you sign

What's really in the book — coverage, quality, gaps and the cost to fix them, while you're still in exclusivity.

After

Cohorts sized and costed, a remediation backlog, and a timetable you can put in front of a board.

Built from your data

Built from your data, not from a workshop.

How it starts

One fixed-price first step.

1–2 wks

Data health check

Fixed price, one segment of the book. You get coverage, quality and gaps at field level, and the cost to fix them. The report is yours either way.

Questions we get asked

Plain answers, no dodging.

The receiving platform will do it.

They'll move data. They won't own your suitability, your consent or your client outcome. We act for the buyer, not the platform.

We don't have a transition team.

You don't need one. We run it end to end and your people stay with clients.
